Home Screen Guide

The Home screen is the main dashboard of the Datagram Desktop App. It gives you a quick overview of your account, earnings, and connection status. From here, you can see how many points you’ve earned, check which services are running, connect to the network, and manage your account settings.

It also lets you copy your referral code to invite friends, reconnect to the Datagram Network if needed, and track how long each service has been active. Everything you need to start earning and stay connected is available on this screen in one place.

Let’s get started. 🚀

Feature Overview

1. Menu Button (☰)

Located in the top-right corner, the Menu button opens a sidebar with additional options. These let you manage your account, adjust settings, and learn more about Datagram. For more information regarding the menu, navigate to the Menu Button Section.

2. Tasks, Status, and Score

Just below your earnings, you’ll see a section that lists the active Datagram services on your device—currently UDP.

For each service:

  • Task shows the name of the service (e.g., UDP with AI coming soon).

  • Status displays its current state. If it says "IDLE," that means it’s connected but not actively sharing resources at the moment. In this state your node is eligible to earn uptime rewards. If it says "EARNING," that means it's not only connected but also actively sharing resources to support Datagram services.

  • Score show the strength of the node operator's network connection.

This section helps you understand which services are live and the performance of the node operator's network.

3. Network Connection

At the bottom left of the services section, you’ll see your network status. If it shows “Connected” with a green icon, your app is linked to the Datagram Network and ready to earn rewards. If disconnected, the app will try to reconnect, or you can manually reconnect from the account menu.

4. Go to Dashboard

Below Network Connection, you’ll find a “Go to Dashboard” button. Clicking this will open the full web-based Datagram Dashboard in your browser, where you can explore advanced analytics, manage your profile, and track detailed referral and earnings stats.

5. Refer a Friend and Get Rewarded

At the bottom of the Home screen, you’ll see the referral section. Here you can:

  • View your number of Confirmed Referrals

  • Click the “Copy link” button to copy your referral code

Share this code with friends to invite them to the Datagram Network. As they become active users, you’ll start earning extra rewards based on their participation.

6. Network score details

How well the Datagram Node performs depends on the quality of the network that it is connected to. Each node operator's network score is determined by testing 3 primary factors with each factor having 3 possible ratings (status). Clicking on "Score" will reveal details for the Network Score test results.

Tests

  • Firewall: Confirms whether or not the ISP or network settings are configured to support connecting to the Datagram Network.

  • Bandwidth: Measures upload and download speed.

  • Response: Measures the network latency.

Status/Score

  • Good: Optimal performance to operate node.

  • Okay: Decent performance to operate node, but could be better.

  • Poor: Low performance, may be able to operate a node, but with possible connectivity and/or experience issues.

Note: A connected node with a Score of Poor is still eligible to earn uptime and rewards, but it is recommended that node operators optimize their Score to at leaset Okay or ideally Good for the best experience and to maximize rewards.

Recommendations

  • Based on the results of each status, a recommendation will be given on how to improve connectivity and/or the performance of the Node Application.

You can close the menu at any time by clicking the "X" in the top-right corner of the sidebar.

When you click the menu button, the following options appear—here’s what each one does:

1. Refresh

This let's you refresh your connection for the latest in points earnings and uptime.

2. Account

This opens your account section, where you can view details like your profile information and connected license, confirming that your device is properly linked to the Datagram Network.
