# Windows

The Datagram desktop application for Windows enables your PC to participate in the Datagram Network. It uses your idle computing resources to route internet traffic, allowing you to earn rewards without compromising your privacy or monitoring your activity.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The Datagram Desktop Application does not monitor your activity while it is in use. All the application can do is manage your underutilized compute resources that you authorize to route internet traffic through your IP address, which is completely separate from your activity. This means zero access to your data.
{% endhint %}

Let’s get started. 🚀

**Step 1:** Visit the [Datagram website](https://demo.datagram.network/) and register for an account using your email or Google sign-in.

**Step 2:** Scroll down and click on the Windows installer to download the version compatible with your system.

Run the downloaded installer file and follow the standard Windows installation prompts.

**Step 3:** Launch the Datagram application, sign in using your account credentials, and connect to the Datagram Network.

**Step 4:** Once connected, the application will begin routing authorized underutilized compute resources through your IP address, allowing you to earn points and rewards.

Your Windows PC is now set up to contribute to the Datagram Network, and you can track your rewards in real time.
