What are the hardware requirements?
Datagram Full Core nodes are designed for broad adoption and can be operated on laptops, desktops, or cloud instances.
The minimum recommended configuration is:
CPU: 2 cores (modern chipsets)
RAM: 2 GB (16 GB recommended)
SSD: 2 GB SSD
Internet Connection: at least 10 mbps upload and download speeds
When can I begin operating my node?
You will be able to begin operating your Full Core node once the mainnet is live. The launch is currently projected for Q3 2025.
How do I run a Full Core node? Is it complicated?
Running a Full Core node is straightforward and typically involves just a few steps. You can find detailed instructions on how to set up and operate a Full Core node in the user guide.
Can I run multiple nodes?
Yes, participants are welcome to run multiple nodes, subject to network guidelines and any capacity limits that may apply.
Can I delegate my Full Core node?
If you prefer not to manage the Full Core node yourself, you have the option to delegate it to other node operators. Delegation helps strengthen the network by allowing your Full Core node license NFT to be operated by Nodes-as-a-Service (“NaaS”) providers.
This delegation does not involve transferring the NFT. It is a temporary, at-will permission granted by the owner to a third party for the purpose of node operation. Specific instructions for how to delegate your node will be published at a later date. Delegation does not impact a user’s eventual ability to transfer a Full Core node license after the one-year lock period. However, you will need to un-delegate (revoke) the node before it can be transferred.
Datagram has established partnerships with leading NaaS providers so that you can delegate your license key for them to manage on your behalf. Each NaaS provider sets their own NaaS Provider Commission Rate (“NPCR”), which is the percentage of rewards they retain for operating the node. After deducting the NPCR from the total rewards, the remaining rewards are distributed to you as the delegator. A lower NPCR means the NaaS provider will share a larger portion of the rewards with you.

Virtual Private Servers and Nodes-as-a-Service Providers
If you prefer not to run your Full Core node on your personal machine, you have two options: Virtual Private Servers (“VPS”) or Nodes-as-a-Service (“NaaS”).
The key difference is:
With a VPS, you are responsible for setting up, deploying, and managing your node.
With a NaaS, the entire process is managed for you. You simply “delegate” your Full Core node license NFT to a NaaS provider and automatically earn rewards without needing to operate the infrastructure yourself.

Make sure to select a package that meets the minimum hardware requirements. The server’s physical location does not affect your eligibility for KYC or rewards.
